Wednesday night an excellent group of gung-ho Washington DC Drupalers gathered at GJD's office in Takoma Park, as well as on IRC, to begin bringing the vision of Mark Boulton's Drupal Handbook Style Guide to life.
After GJD's Margaux and Matthew, along with jackaponte, laken, LeeHunter, and many others did tons of work on the guide at DrupalCon, add1sun issued her March challenge: to begin fixing up the many existing pages of documentation so they're in line with the guide.
Those present in body this week included add1sun, mtapman, Carolyn and Margaux. Those joining us on IRC included jackaponte and winston.
Sections we worked on included:
Conforming to the new Handbook Style Guide is important for accuracy and consistency, as well as Drupal's branding and professional image. Also for users whose first language is not English, it is easier to understand. Furthermore, consistency sets stage for translations into other languages, which are planned for the near future!
Stay tuned for more upcoming documentation sprints! GJD plans to host another in mid-April.
